 Larry Bartek
is a full time Police Officer in a major suburb of Dallas, Texas.
Larry's classes are taught in a student friendly environment
addressing proper techniques and safety aspects. Prior to
his instructing CHL classes, Larry has
trained many police officers in the proper techniques and safety aspects of
handling and carrying a firearm. Larry has been a Texas Peace
Officer since 1989 and has trained with and competed against some of the finest shooters in the
world. Larry uses this training and experience to teach his
students.
Larry Bartek is committed to
increasing the student interest and knowledge in this certification
course in a relaxed, fun, and friendly environment. The
instruction is presented in a student friendly manner with personal
attention to the students.
I became a Texas Concealed Handgun Instructor in
2001 at the request of several people, many the victims of
criminal offenses, who wanted to protect themselves but were too shy
and reserved to pursue any training. Having been a Police and
National Rifle Association (NRA) firearms instructor for many years,
I decided to pursue the challenge and began teaching civilians in
2001 as a Texas Concealed Handgun Instructor.
My goal with students is to educate
them, build their self confidence, and teach them proper/safe
techniques while shooting. Students must understand the laws and
requirements that the State of Texas expects them to know. As an
instructor it is my responsibility to teach this course in a manner
that is easy to understand. It will include videos, “war stories”,
and personal embarrassing moments.

available for classes of ten (10) or more and the classroom portion can
