"I became a Texas Concealed Handgun Instructor in 2001 at the request of several people; many of them were victims of a crime. They wanted to protect themselves, but were too shy, and reserved to pursue any training. Having been a Police and National Rifle Association (NRA) firearms instructor for many years, I decided to pursue the challenge and began teaching as a Texas Concealed Handgun Instructor.

My goal with students is to educate them, build their self confidence, and teach them proper/safe techniques while shooting. As an instructor it is my responsibility to teach this course in a manner that is easy to understand. As students you must learn the laws and requirements that the State of Texas has established. Larry Bartek is a recently retired Police Officer of 22 years in a major suburb of Dallas, Texas; he served 20 of those years on the SWAT team as a Sniper. Larry implemented rifles into the Patrol Division and trained the officers in both rifle and pistol skills. Larry's classes are taught in a student friendly environment addressing proper techniques and safety.

Larry Bartek is committed to increasing the students interest and knowledge in this certification course. The instructions are presented in a student friendly manner with personal attention to the students in a relaxed, fun, and friendly environment.
